This Privacy Policy explains how Toro Soñador ("we", "us", "our"), a handmade jewelry and art business based in Montréal, Quebec, Canada, handles personal information. We've built this site to collect as little as possible.
The short version
We don't run accounts, newsletters, analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, and we don't keep a customer database of our own. The only personal information involved in a purchase or booking is handled directly by the trusted service providers we use to take payment and ship orders. We see order details through those providers; we don't sell or rent anyone's information, ever.
What we collect, and why
When you contact us
Our contact page opens your own email app to write to us. We receive whatever you choose to put in that email (your name, your email address, your message) and use it only to reply and to follow up on your question or order.
When you buy or book
Checkout is handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. To complete a purchase or a tarot booking, Stripe collects the information needed to process the payment and, for physical orders, a shipping address. We never see or store full card numbers. We use these details only to fulfill your order and meet our tax and accounting obligations.
Service providers we rely on
Because we don't store data ourselves, the personal information involved in running the shop lives with the providers below. Each is bound by its own privacy terms, and some process data outside Quebec (including in the United States):
- Stripe — payments and checkout (name, contact details, payment information, shipping address).
- Shippo — shipping labels and tracking for physical orders (name, shipping address).
- Stockify — inventory management for our products.
- Cloudflare — website hosting and security; may process technical data such as IP addresses in server logs to keep the site available.
- Proton Mail — our email, when you write to us.
- Instagram (Meta) — if you reach out to us there.
We encourage you to review their privacy policies for details on how they handle your information.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and uses no third-party trackers. Our payment and hosting providers may set strictly necessary cookies when you check out, solely to make the service work and keep it secure.
How long we keep information
The emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Order and transaction records are retained by Stripe and by us as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. Your rights
