This Privacy Policy explains how Toro Soñador ("we", "us", "our"), a handmade jewelry and art business based in Montréal, Quebec, Canada, handles personal information. We've built this site to collect as little as possible.
The short version
We don't run accounts, newsletters, analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, and we don't keep a customer database of our own. The only personal information involved in a purchase or booking is handled directly by the trusted service providers we use to take payment and ship orders. We see order details through those providers; we don't sell or rent anyone's information, ever.
What we collect, and why
When you contact us
Our contact page opens your own email app to write to us. We receive whatever you choose to put in that email (your name, your email address, your message) and use it only to reply and to follow up on your question or order.
When you buy or book
We don't take payment or keep order records ourselves. Shop purchases and "from afar" readings are processed by Stripe, our payment processor; live tarot readings are scheduled and paid through Cal.com, our booking provider (which runs its own payments through Stripe). To complete a purchase or booking, these providers collect what they need — such as your name, contact details, payment information, and, for physical orders, a shipping address — under their own privacy policies. We never see or store full card numbers, and we use any order details visible to us only to fulfill your order and meet our tax and accounting obligations.
Where your information goes
Because we don't keep a customer database, the personal information involved in a purchase or booking lives with the providers that process it for us — principally Stripe (payments) and Cal.com (reading bookings). Each is bound by its own privacy policy, and some process data outside Quebec and Canada. Our website host may also process limited technical data, such as IP addresses in server logs, to keep the site available and secure. We don't sell or rent anyone's information, ever — we encourage you to review our providers' privacy policies for how they handle your information.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and uses no third-party trackers. Our payment and hosting providers may set strictly necessary cookies when you check out, solely to make the service work and keep it secure.
How long we keep information
The emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. We don't keep order or transaction records ourselves — those are retained by our payment and booking providers (Stripe and Cal.com) under their own retention policies and applicable tax and accounting law.
Your rights
Under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and applicable Canadian privacy law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and you may withdraw consent where applicable. To make a request, email us at the address below. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Children
Our shop and readings are intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
